hope you are off to a lovely Monday and had a fabulous weekend.
As you know, I was so excited to see "The Time Traveler's Wife" on the big screen.
I'm not going to put any spoilers here in case you're on vacation & didn't see it this weekend like my Marisa, or you live in Oz like Niki and have to wait for it to come out there. That wouldn't be fair. But i will say this....
I loved it. LOVED it. I think Eric Bana stole the show as Henry- though as a whole, i think they did well with casting the characters. I kept thinking how are they going to pull the novel off? but i think they did well with the parts they picked, and sewing it together in a way that if you hadn't read the novel, maybe you wouldn't get so lost.
I most def. think anyone who saw the movie and hadn't read the book, may not get it as much. READ THE NOVEL please. A movie can't do the novel justice, it's just impossible.
but my favorite part of the film? wasn't even between Clare & Henry... if you saw it or when you see it... remember the subway scene.
My heart hurt.
ps. darling friend loved it!!! He was so cute and pointed out bits that Clare did that reminded him of me. {don't i have the best bf EVER?!} It was so cute cos we couldn't wait to get out of the theatre and discuss the parts that differed or what we liked better in the book. His fave part wasn't between Henry & Clare either... but between Henry & precious Alba.

CAN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO SEE IT!!! i hope you're having vacation bliss and taking lots of pictures for us. looking forward to your thoughts...
ooh M! on another note, I can't wait for something to come in that i ordered for you. I hope you love it as much as i do!!!
ooo... i can't wait! i have a little something on the way for you too...great minds! hopefully it will become before i leave for CO later this week
max is a sweetie and i think him and DH would hit it off... although i think your darling friend is a much better communicator then DH...lol
trip was a blast and the game was fun although the twins play indoors and i just can't get into baseball inside...strange!
tuesday come quick...pretty please, i need me some henry.
i'm so excited to see this too, but i'm still waiting to get my hands on the book. and i REFUSE to watch it before reading it!
belen - i will mail it to you... email me your address.
M, baseball indoors- now there's something i have yet to experience though i would agree with you that it just wouldn't feel the same. But cheers for America's favorite past time! I'm sure you looked so cute in your new jersey.
I think DH and Darling Friend would def. get along! And wanna hear something strange? because of bad experiences (well A bad experience) *I'M* the horrible communicator... :( it's terrible.
"in need of some Henry"- i love that!!!
Belen, you are SO SMART to refuse to see it without reading it first. It is a MUST you read it first- and not just for the movie sake, but because you will absolutely fall in love with the novel. It conveys so much raw emotion that a movie can not simply put into words. SO SWEET of M to send it to you {but then again, she is the sweetest!}. and on a happy note- she's helping out the postal service that way too...
xo to you lovies
Hehe thanks for the un-spoiling review!! I'm so excited about seeing it now!!
I can't wait to see it! I LOOOVED the book and I'm always scared to see the movie...I'd hate for it to be ruined. :)
