soulmates.
it's the little things in life isn't it? like being super excited for another season of Grey's Anatomy!
no spoilers here, but during last night's episode when meredith and christina were talking about how they weren't ok... the part where Meredith tells her, "Derek is the love of my life but you're my soulmate."
i paused it and had to text my bestie M that line (who i knew would be just as excited for a new season!).
pieces of a letter i once wrote my best friend: "if i could tell that sad girl i was after high school, to the girls who broke my heart… at 25, you will meet your soulmate. She will make you feel like you’ve known her your whole life. Her heart is half yours really."
She is the Christina to my Meredith.
She is my soulmate.
ps. me and max are also pretty excited about a new season of DEXTER starting up. how brilliant is Michael C. Hall? what shows are you excited about?

Next Virtual Date : Show me what's in your bag!
awhile back i was tagged to show what's in my purse. now i'm tagging all of you! take a photo of your purses and show me what's inside.
email them to micaela.lechugaATgmail.com (don't forget to include your blog link if you have one) by next wens. and they'll be showcased right here on dolce vita next week!
i do so love when you play along x
tied up with string.
remember the art project i touched on that Kat is hosting? i feel like a rock star because mine was the first one she featured. Head over to Fritzie Marie and find out what each little trinket means on my love hanger and check out the rest of the mobiles. There are some talented ladies for sure! i love the sentiments behind each piece.
love tied up with string, indeed.
thank-you Kat!!! xo
Wanting to Know you Wens.

lovies, happy first day of my favourite season!!! don't you love fall? i will never forget when i visited this time last year and saw all the fall leaves cover the land like a quilt. Autumn in VA is MAGICAL.
something this Texas girl wasn't used to seeing.
cheers to wearing scarves, leggings, and boots. to oversized sweaters {or wearing his sweaters}. to football! cheers to Pumpkin Spice at Starbucks. cheers to getting into the holiday spirit.
what is your favorite thing about autumn?
and if it's not your favorite season, which one is?
P.S. it's high time we meet up for a virtual date next week, don't you think? i'll be back later tonight with an idea xo

cuddles.
Stella Lechuga-Maxham loves to lay down by the coffee maker in our kitchen. That's her spot. When they're that adorable and fluffy, you can't help but lay down next to them, even if it's on the kitchen floor.
Max says we should have named her Chewbacca. We've nicknamed her Chewy and i giggle every time my husband-to-be does the Chewbacca sound from Star Wars.
i love her. and him.
and days off.
today we're going to get coffee in our historic downtown and make a stop at the local craft market. then i've got this film on my instant netflix, a recommendation from Shelly.
(marisa tomei and time travel? yes please.)

movie date with my "husband" : "Going the Distance."
honestly, who doesn't love Drew Barrymore? she's just beautiful, real, fun, and a guy's girl... the kind of girl i want to always be.
i fell in love with justin long in "he's just not that into you." I love actors who seem like "real" guys you could actually meet (jake gyllenhaal / james mcavoy anyone?). They don't have the drop dead looks of say Brad Pitt but they're sexier for it. That's Justin Long to me.
They were my favourite celeb couple and when they broke up i was so sad. I was happy to hear they were back on and together in a film no less. I think their chemistry made it all that much more real onscreen.
I LOVED "Going the Distance."
I laughed AND cried ... isn't that the kind of film you wanna see? no spoilers here but i cried because it showed emotions i have felt in my relationship/relationships. Isn't that the definition of a good film?
ladies, take your husband/boyfriends to go see it because though a rom-com, it has some fun for the boys.
another plus? features music from a band that just might be my new favorite.
i so love movie dates with my husband-to-be.
if you've seen it, did you love it as much?
