Wanting to Know you Wens.

"His eyes travel up and down my body like he's checking me for damage."

i love short stories where the characters intertwine and the author goes back and forth to each through the years. like this one and this one i loved and recommend.

share a line from the book you are currently reading?

Such a beautiful quote.

I read One Day last month and marked this -

“You're gorgeous, you old hag, and if i could give you just one gift ever for the rest of your life it would be this. Confidence. It would be the gift of confidence. Either that or a scented candle.”

If anyone reading these comments hasn't read The Hunger Games series, do it NOW.

I'm reading Warm Bodies. It's a zombie love story, sort of. Don't judge me, it's actually written really well.

“I want to change my punctuation. I long for exclamation marks, but I'm drowning in ellipses.”

To up my street cred, I'm also reading A Secret Garden, but I just got home from the gym and the book is downstairs and you know that I am lazy as fuck. I ain't going to get that book even for you. ;)

oh gosh it's been a while since i picked up a book, last one i read.. oh dear was last year and it was the Twilight books haha.

i will be taking a trip to my local library to pick up this one, it sounds amazing, and i love short stories.

but since i dont have a book quote, maybe a film quote will do? i watched "LAST NIGHT" .. last night (lol) with my hubs it was a great film i had my hand to my mouth saying "ooh no" most of the movie, the part that really got me was when she (Joanna) said "and in the middle of most nights when I can't sleep I still replay you." sigh. i loved that part, you can watch it on Netflix instant play. i think we will share the same heart in this movie, it's that kind of film. talk to you soon!

I'm not reading anything of particular interest lately -- mostly books on how to write a memoir -- but you've intrigued me to try a few new books. :)

read this morning on the bus on the way to work...from jane eyre,

"He is not to them what he is to me," I thought: "he is not of their kind. I believe he is of mine; – I am sure he is, – I feel akin to him, – I understand the language of his countenance and movements: though rank and wealth sever us widely, I have something in my brain and heart, in my blood and nerves, that assimilates me mentally to him. […] I must, then, repeat continually that we are for ever sundered: – and yet, while I breathe and think I must love him."

sigh.

What great book quotes. I miss reading. The only line that has really stuck out lately is, "I'll always come back." I forget the book title, but I read it to my kids. It's about a working mom telling her kids no matter what, she'll always come to school and get them at the end of each day.

This sounds so intriguing! I love Emily Giffin's books because the characters are sometimes related. It would be fun to read a story where everyone is intertwined in some way... Thanks for the recommendation lovely!
