when words fail us, we turn to music.
i've been under a cloud of sorts, just trying to keep from feeling overwhelmed with a messy house i can't find the energy to keep clean, a pile of letters to reply to, and even blog posts that have been saved to drafts because i can't find the words (among other things). For no reason or a million silly little ones, this feeling just creeps up.
so i turn to music. i turn to my best friend marisa {my person}.
and i write it all down on yellow legal paper... to her, everything because i know she'll get me.
her text after she received my mixed tape above and said letter?
"i love you even more today."
words i needed to hear when i'm feeling just a little bit lost and a little less like myself.

gosh, I soooo know what you mean. The blues have hit me big time recently. But today was spent in the studio and little by little I am coming back. I'm now listening to my good ole favourite reggae tunes . . hope you manage to work through those piling things . . .:)

p.s i've deleted my blog, just wasn't up to it anymore, got too busy, and really i didn't know where i was going with it, i like reading blogs much more haha, i check your's everyday, hope you feel better girly!

oh & this song is one of my favorites, i always have to include a Yeah Yeah Yeahs song in my mix's i think i even put one in your's if i remember correctly it was Maps?? ;)
