Wanting to Know you Wens.

so here's the thing... i'm 27. i shouldn't have to deal with acne right?

right now my skin is seriously misbehavin.

i wash my face every night/morning and though i don't always have acne, when i do break out (and usually during the time of the month)-- it's one or two huge ones like this one i can't believe i'm going to show you on my chin.

when i sent this pic to claire, she said she could hardly see it and maybe photobooth did my skin a little justice but it's pretty bad. and it's a bit worse now.

does anyone have any products/tips they swear by?

this is all i'm using right now... the clearasil seems to work but man does it make my face dry.

my brother's girlfriend and my little sister swear by this soap and i think i'm going to have to order some off etsy. Christina (brother's gf) says her skin used to be so bad she would cry and this was the only thing that ever worked.

please tell me i'm not the only one dealing with the plight of pimples. what do you lovies use? from products to make-up that conceal-- help a girl out?

Breakout Buster by Rocky Mountain Soap Company. It's a stick, and the ingreds are all natural, including sweet almond oil, cocoa butter and essential oils like tea tree, lemon, grapefruit and lavender. You apply it directly to the spot and voila! Gone before you know it. Here's the link: http://www.rockymountainsoap.com/productDetails/1130625/1002271/1000144

I can't recommend it enough.

Giiiirl, I so do NOT see any blemishes on your face. I wish I had pretty skin like yours.

I have frequent breakouts so I use Proactiv, which really works for me. I hate the fact that it has so many harsh chemicals in it, but whenever I try to switch, all my acne comes back and my face turns tomato red.

And for makeup, I use Neutrogena SkinClearing Foundation on the spots that need attention, like on blemishes and under my eyes... then Bare Minerals Powder all over my face.

Miss ya,
Grace

haha, I sent a picture to your sister the other day!
I told her it was RUINING MY LIFE!! haha.
I'm not a make up girl...so I don't conceal...everyone just has to look at it and deal with it!!

I guarantee that everyone is going to agree with me that your pimple is barely visible! It's so silly--you have to squint to even see it. It's hard to capture these things in photos sometimes (which is really a blessing!).

You know what I use cause you've seen it all in my bathroom. :) Right now it's purpose cleanser & Perricone MD Cold Plasma, though when that runs out, I won't be able to afford more (it's $150!).

My skin is always so much better in the summer, because when I'm getting sun/tan all my blemishes go away! But here comes fall . . . ugh!

Beleieve it or not I put hydrogen proxide right on the blemish as it starting and goes away before it gets crazy. My mom told me that tricka nd she has had the best skin her whole life.

I can not see any pimple on your face silly.

Dearie,
I think you look fabulous. I have acne too. I thought for sure that it would go away in my 30's but no. I use Proactive. The thing is, you have to use it religiously or the buggers will come back. Also, I like to use Cetaphil as a make up remover and Dan uses it too.
love love,
Fritzi Marie

OMG You look pretty as ever and that pimple?? I can hardly see it. I get pimples once in while and just pray hard that they go away soon!

i use good ol' cetaphil. deep cleans but doesn't over dry. i also recently started using this biore rejuvenating wash...has eucalyptus so your skin feels super clean and tingly afterwards.

I've never had (proper) spots and I've never used any sort of facial product. I use organic soap and water: simple! I then moisturise with a really simple morganic moisturiser.

I also get the odd pimple with PMS or if I've been doing a lot of running, but I never put anything on them and they clear up within a day or two.

My advice - naked skin! I apprciate this doesn't work for everyone, and I appreciate I've been *very* lucky with my skin! But hey, you're beautiful with or without a few spots Mrs!

I've had acne since I was 9. The only thing that has ever worked for me is prescriptions. I use Benzaclin and Retin A micro. I used to take pills, those work too, but if you're on birth control you can't take them anymore :(

I also love Neutrogena's acne free body wash.

I stopped using makeup to cover them because I hate how it looks.. but bare minerals usually makes anyone's skin look really pretty and fair even with a few blemishes. :)

I literally have the exact same skin issues. Most of the time it's clear but I alway break out once a month(thanks hormones). I've been using Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment for a few years now and it does the trick. As long as you use it continuously for a couple days, it makes a noticeable difference.

Tea Tree Oil! Here is a listing on Etsy for some http://www.etsy.com/listing/80037231/tamanu-tea-tree-oil-natual-acne-spot?ref=sr_list_9&ga_search_submit=&ga_search_query=Tea+Tree+Oil&ga_view_type=list&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet=

Works like a charm! I'm 29 (boo) and still get the wicked witch ones on my nose every now and then. I swear by this stuff since I was a teenager.

I'm right there with you...right now, in fact. (That time of the month for me, too.) I love to dab the Proactiv Refining Mask on my blemishes as a zit cream. I don't use it as a mask, and don't use their other products. But, when I dab that on a zit before bed, when I wake up it's usually almost gone or so drawn to the surface that I can pop it (gross, I know) and be rid of it. Actually, I've got a little dab on right now! :)

Girl, youa re not the only one! I used to have acne all over my chin and cheeks, ALL THE TIME not just one or two during my period.... I used to cry as well. It was horrible.

I've found a combination of proactive (the mask is great for spot treatment) and birth control cleared it up within 6 months. I rarely get big pimples now.

P.S. you still look gorgeous!

You may not want to hear what helps me most, but it's laying off coffee! I read that once, and tried it and it seriously worked, however I love my coffee more then a blemish free face :/

water water and water to flush it all out. on days when i don't get enough water, i can feel it in my skin....go get a glass right now friend! best thing it's FREE!

Yep, I'm definitely one of those bad skin girls. I've tried a ton of stuff somewhat unsuccessfully but I kinda wanna try Proactiv again. I think mine is hormone-related...it might be time to switch BC pills?

One thing I love hands down though are mint julep masques. SO REFRESHING.

I'm 34 and I am still dealing with acne. But it more when it's that time of the month. I hate getting that ONE BIG HUGE zit in the middle of my face. Sometimes I get little bumps on my forehead but I can thank my bangs for hiding them.

I find that nothing really prevent the zit from getting bigger, you just have to ride it out but as for the little bumps, ProActive can keep it at bay. I recently tired tea tree oil and it totally dries pimples out.

Unfortunately, it happens to the best of us! I'm 31 and my skin is far from being perfect... So I can sympathize!

my skin is so temperamental with products, I hardly use anything on my skin to be honest, its not worth the aggrovation. I had the biggest spot on my face for Paris though, I nearly cried over it, luckily you can't really tell in photos but still.. gutted.

My Mum's skin is the same though and she still gets them even now (especially at that time of the month...)
