On Monday, September 17th at 4:55 p.m. (after 18 hours of epidural free labor in which i failed to progress-- so discouraging-- leading to a tearful realization of a c-section-- that ended up being the best decision ever) we met the love of our lives, our baby girl:
Felix Maxham
8 pounds 14 ounces and 19 inches long!
{everyone asked where i hid her since my tummy never got that big}
Thank-you lovies for all your prayers, support, well wishes and beautiful gifts that welcomed us home. It means all the world to us xo
i can't wait to share more photos of my little but for now, we're enjoying every moment we can while Auntie Marianne is here.

Congratulations! When I first read that she was close to 9 lbs, I didn't understand how you could give birth naturally with your tiny little frame (but now I am reading that you ended up having a c-section)
She is a doll, you and your hubby must be thrilled and how awesome to have had your twin by your side as you welcomed your beautiful girl into this world.

I was texting with Kary on Monday afternoon, waiting for the news that she had arrived... When the message came through and that first gorgeous photo, I had tears in my eyes! Such a happy moment :)
So very happy for your lovely little family of three. She is beautiful, and you are beautiful, and I can't say "Hooray!" enough.

Your labour sounds very similar to my sister's. She had no progression either (only ever made it to 2cm dilation), before they had to perform an emergency c-section when Scarlett's heart rate dropped to a dangerously low rate.
Unfortunately they don't share a birthday though :( Scarlett was born on the 21st (the same day as her cousin!).

Tears as I'm reading this. It takes me back to when I had my own kids almost two years ago. I'm so happy for you, for the hubby, for Marianne, and especially for little..er...not so little Felix because she has you as her wonderful mother.
