happy things to end the week with.

my husband bringing me starbucks this morning (genius coffee sign from one of my fave etsy's Very Fine House)

getting lost in a new book (lovies, thanks for the book recommendations!)

date night : Blue Valentine

amazing realistic acting ... i can't even express that enough. a realness that's refreshing and heartbreaking; some parts made me uncomfortable and teary-eyed because i had felt that way before. (i love how well my husband knows me and how his hand found mine in said parts of the film... i fell in love with him all over again)

finally getting around to hanging up art in casa di M including this candelabra in our bedroom {photos of our walls coming soon!}

smart purchase for me who adores sending love letters the old fashioned way : custom wood handle address stamp from Note Trunk

my excitement over my new friend Sarah who's also a jewelry making goddess : Sadie Designs -- another smart purchase will be jewelry shopping this weekend at her etsy shop. As a valentines day thank-you, she's holding a percentage off deal **details here** I have my eye on this gorgeous pastel and gold plated crystal druzy necklace. i believe every girl should spoil herself with a vday pressie because let's face it, we're all deserving of a treat!

sarah also made me feel like a rockstar today! <3

finding this baby photo of me and marianne on one of our birthday's. I love how my Momma (who made our big bird cake by the way!) is spoon feeding us directly from the cake, no bowls necessary. I also love my older sister's glasses. (look how i can't get enough of it and am using my hands to put it in my mouth faster! some things never change...) the countdown to mine and twinkie's 27th begins... our birthday is March 7th!

Happy Friday lovies!!! i hope you had lotsa little things that made you happy this week. xo

Goodness I love this post for about a billion reasons. My sister's shop, that book (which I haven't read but is waiting for me on my shelf), your stamp, etc etc . . . and you know what I love most. Baby pictures of you and Marianne make me so happy, considering you were the CUTEST KIDS AROUND! I love them so much. I couldn't tell who was who in this one. :)

Such lovely things.
I bought a rubber stamp from etsy with our shared last name & new address only to realize I had put the wrong zip code :( I'm still a little devastated.

I'm glad you know how it feels to have your house not really feel like it should, it's so tough moving when all you want to do is be a newlywed!

Oh Micaela, I'm so glad to hear you liked your package! I'm seriously SO glad we got paired up together. What a fun swap it turned out to be! Thanks again hun!
By the way, I am super in love with that candelabra. So lovely!

I love that you have only been in your new home a short while and already all organized with a new address stamp - your priorities are most definitely in order :) xx

Ooh, I wanna see Blue Valentine!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that coffee sign. It's totally what my store needs in the backroom. My crazy coworkers like to still work on their break. Are they crazy?! I would totally take advantage of my break by napping or something. If I had that sign, and my boss tired asking for some help, I'd turn her to that sign, lol.

I love your new address stamp! How fun is that?

We haven't managed to get our art back up after the big living room reno fiasco of 2010! I think it's time...

So many happy things to end the week with. Hope the weekend is even better!

I love the coffee break sign. That belongs in my future kitchen. One of my favorite things that Aaron does is surprise me with Starbucks :) These men know the ways to our hearts!

What a fun post!

Sweet husband for bringing you coffee, and I'm digging the sign.

That book has been sitting next to my bed for months now. I'm excited to finally get to it. I hear they're making a movie out of it.

I'm so glad you posted about Blue Valentine. I saw the trailer online but then forgot all about it. It's now on my list of *must see*

hey girl, thanks for stopping by my blog. that's what i liked about blue valentine, well, at least what my friend told me. i like things that are not so "happily ever after" when it comes to books and movies because they always make me think about my own life, etc. i like provocations in a sense that i have the opportunity to reflect and learn something. hope your saturday is going well.

We need to have a "Blue Valentine" Chat soon. Perhaps after you watch The Romantics (which buy the way you can rent on amazon)

I still have not read that book. I must before the movie.

P.S. Oh and Big Bird was by far one of my favorite Sesame Street characters aside from Cookie Monster - nickname of mines! I wonder does it have to do with the fact that I love munching on cookies -ha!
