Look at the stars Look how they shine for you and everything you do...

you see lately i've been feeling restless...

lost. stuck?

i know i know, it's probably being cooped up in the house because of the winter weather that was dropped on el paso the past few days... i mean i even miss my nearly daily outdoor runs... that's crazy, who misses those? but it's true. there's something regular exercise and fresh air can do for your body (& not to mention my mood... sorry darling husband!)

physically i haven't felt my best and it affects how i feel about myself and i get worked up emotionally for no reason at all.

sometimes there's a song that gets your mood.

but of course... marisa (my person, the one who gets me) emailed me this link knowing i would love it, and not just because it's a cover from my most favorite band.

so i'll pour a glass of wine and listen to this song on repeat and let myself feel the winter blues for no reason at all other than tomorrow is another day and that handsome meteorologist in the morning* says this weekend promises sunshine. maybe he meant that for me?

(thank-you M for the song... you know i love you so)

*that handsome man might just be my husband.

Even if it's cold and wet out, my lovely, get outside and breathe deep, take a brisk walk, even if it's just for 20 minutes. Then come back in, drink that wine (or have a cup of coffee and a square of dark chocolate), enjoy the love of all your bloggy friends (esp. your M) and maybe watch a funny movie or read a funny book. Break out those crafting supplies and make a valentine or two. And before you know it, you'll be out of that slump and on your way back up.

I'm sending you a hugs. And another long letter, soon.

I woke up with the flu today. On top of that big test I had. And that pink eye.

I definitely understand feeling stuck, it's that time of the year. I hope your handsome meteorologist is right & you get some sunshine.
Do something fun (like get a pedi) for yourself and have a fab weekend!

What a great cover! There is something I love about a great song and a piano.

As for the weather blahs, I wish I could send the sunshine we are having. It's utterly beautiful (though stinkin hot!) But the sun lifts my sprits every day!

Sending you some spirit lifting sun! x

Am positively loving this song. :)

And, lovely lady, you are not alone. The weather has been so blah here, and I too am feeling less than productive and happy. Hopefully the skys will clear soon, and the sun will shine cheerfully upon El Paso. :)

If that doesn't work...remember that the weekend draws near! :)

What a sweet post, despite your winter blues. They always pass. And you have a handsome man who loves coming home to you--that makes it all worthwhile, right?

I've always turned to the quote ' this too shall pass ' when the going gets a lil rough and its always managed to pull me through ..
So wish away those blues ..sunshine is all yours ;)
