three things thrifted.

i took myself out on a date to our local Savers, and i'm so glad i did! i hit the thrifting jackpot today, lovies. i may have spent more than i normally would buy second hand items, but when you see the last item that went into my arms today, you'll understand why.

below the knee length t-shirt dress in my favorite color (also loved the 80s feel) / i scored a set of pyrex glass beakers : one is holding my pens on my desk and the other holds my make-up brushes as you can see from the photo above.

now these babies are the reason why i spent a little more than usual! the photo doesn't do them justice. i knew immediately when i saw them, i had to have them no matter the price, especially since they were in my size. They're in perfect condition Giani Bini boots and they were $24.99. This may not seem a lot if you live in a big city, but it's the most I've spent while thrifting. I'm in love with them!

Since i didn't get a chance to ask a question yesterday for Wanting to Know You Wenesday, i'll ask it here : what's the most you have ever spent thrifting and what was it?

Ohh, I love this topic. I don't tend you spend loads though, I spent £8 on a camera once which was 3 over my usual budget lol, totally worth it though. I asked Thomas too as he always finds the most amazing things and his was £15 on the duffle coat he had when I first met him... I loved that coat, I was more upset when he wore it out than he was.

I love that dress!! It looks so comfortable.

I am a firm believer that brushes should be displayed with cute beakers/cups/glasses/vases - whatever it is, they shouldn't be hidden in a drawer. Your beakers are so perfect!

The most I've spent thrifting is $30 for a Dress Coat for my boyfriend. He needed it for a party I was bringing him to and I felt like I had to buy it for him. It fit perfectly, which you just cant pass up when that happens.

I absolutely LOVE thrifting! Your finds are wonderful. Can't wait to see those boots on you!!!

The most i've spent on thrifting would have to be my latest & most favorite find. A vintage leopard fur clutch...$160. (sooo worth it)

P.S. check out my giveaway!

I had to drop you a note Micaela becuase I just love those beakers. They are so expensive here, even reproductions cost a bomb. Anything industrial, unless you find it scrounging, costs big bucks.
The most I've spent? Probably $20 on a piece of German pottery.
Hope you're well x

I love that dress! I want to see what it looks like on someone.. bet it's super cute!

I spent $90 on a mid century wood table once from Goodwill. I think that's the most... or maybe $120 once for a couch and chair set... if I remember correctly?

I always come so close to purchasing a cool book case or end table that's maybe around 30 or 40 dollars...but I always rationalize it by thinking "does this piece of furniture have any unique quality or story to it that makes it better than the a new piece I can get at target for the same price..." usually the answer is no. Great finds :)

The dress look gorgeous! I love the colour and it looks so comfortable. Well done on the boots. They are fantastic.

I don't thrift much but I really want to. I need a thrifting buddy. Someone who is good at finding items.

girl, i WISH i could spend $25 on a pair of boots here! thrifting around here is INSANELY expensive, it's bizarre. on that note, the most i have spent is around $50, for a cute embroidered dress, a striped sweater, and a Chicago Police Training Academy t-shirt. i HAD to have it.

I really wish I had you to go thrifting with . . . it would encourage me. I never go to thrift stores! I don't know why, because SF has a plethora of them, but when I have gone, I haven't had a ton of luck. Maybe cause I'm not into vintage stuff as much as you are . . . but there are plenty of newer finds at thrift stores, too, so that's no excuse. I do love Crossroads--the second hand store I took you girls to here. I think we went to at least two of them, haha!

I never would have thought to use a glass beaker to store things in, but that's a great idea! Especially a vintagey, thrifted one :)

The boots are gorgeous! And they look flawless.

I need to go thrifting very, very soon!
