The Good Night.

Movie date night with myself again last night. :) This is the one I saw. I picked it up because my gf Penelope Cruz is in it! and OMG, she was delish in this movie. ha. She really was!!! The movie itself was... well, okay. I don't mind slow paced movies and this was def. one of them. It had a great song by Pulp in it that fit well. Gwenyth Paltrow is always pretty good... but Penelope, she of course stole the show.

I TOTALLY want bangs now! Totally. A few weeks ago, C was outside talking to his mom on the phone and when he got back inside, he laughed cos i was in front of the bathroom mirror about to cut my own bangs. lol He had a "my gf is so cute" moment, laughing at my randomness to cut my own bangs cos i had a second by myself. lol

there's a part where she dances in the movie at a bar somewhere, and omg, can i just have been born with her genes???

she has always been the girl of my dreams. I loved her even before hollywood "discovered" her... long before "Vanilla Sky." She was a librarian in a british film called "Twice upon a yesterday." She had gorgeous hair... and sexy in black glasses. I do reccommend this film.

I was also having a pretty bla day yesterday, so spontaneously, me and my twin sis Marianne(who had a bad day at work) decided to go see Nicholas Sparks' book on the big screen:

Perfect thing we needed yesterday. Sweet, funny, and incredibly charming. We dream of the coast....

I hope everyone had a smashing weekend!!! Me and C had a GREAT time at the symphony. It was lovely, and we both shared the same favorite. We were classy... and then we met up with Melody & Joe and my bro-in-law (his bff) to play a little trivia and throw back a few drinks... yup still dressed in our symphony best. :)

me and my best had a wonderful weekend. IN FACT... after dinner Saturday before the symphony, i forwent dessert so that I could have starbucks on our way home. In the 3 years that me and C have been in love, he has never gone to starbucks with just me. My co-workers joke I need a coffee IV hooked up to my arm. C doesn't like coffee, and it's still a little too hot for hot chocolate (which is what he'd normally get). I ordered my blissful vivano and off we went to sit outside. He took one sip and loved it!!!

It was big for me. I told him when we are in Rome, this is how it would be... sitting outside but the collesium would be in front of us. I want to take you there lover.

He came up with the best plan to wake up early sunday morning to have breakfast before church. We went to my favorite sunday breakfast place that i hadn't been to in forever. Church was lovely as always, and even better because we sang our favorite song-- "Here I am to worship." Now I have to say, I hadn't sang that song since our "separation"... and maybe that's why. It was God's gift to us. :) I think I would have burst into tears if we had sang it when he wasn't by my side at church.

le sigh. So that's why I have the monday blues... because of a lovely weekend.

Also: I didn't realized how short my dress is or that it's a little see-thru at the bottom. I should have worn leggings. I was glad the model on target's website for GO International (my abs. fave!!!) wore it sans stockings like me:

i love it! i'm just a little awkward hoping my bum isn't exposed when I walk around the office :)

oh yeah, I have a dr.'s appointment tomorrow. There's that.

I hate going go the clinic. Pray for me lovies? .... i'm a wuss. i'm a scaredy cat. i hate waiting. shit, i don't want to go.

BUT...

working out at 7 with Stacey tonight! whoo hooo!!! i haven't seen her in forever. It will do me good. Also! I'm finally starting to loose the ten i gained when i quit the news station. *high five* C made a comment after i modeled another dress i bought this weekend. He got MAJOR brownie points. :)

Fridays at the City aren't so busy. She made a comment about how quiet it was in our office and so she demanded I take a break :) she said, "why don't you go somewhere for 20 minutes and come back?"

C was cutting headlines at the news station, so what's the next best thing?? oh don't you know me lovies... STARBUCKS! Vivano. YUM. Ah bliss. Worth the whole $5 for a shot of expresso and to be made with SOY. I hope you are all so lucky to have a fabulous boss like mine :)

he knows i hate McDonalds (completely against the golden arches! sorry) but if i was with him? in a fancy dress? I'd go anywhere.

Lars and the Real Girl.

So i FINALLY saw it last night. "Lars and the Real Girl" with the ultra sexy [very talented] Ryan Gosling.

Still feeling sick, I skipped out on the Boston game at BWW and felt like having a movie date with myself. It's been awhile so I was kind of excited :) (i'm not a bad gf, honestly, I knew C wouldn't want to see it)

At first, I wasn't sure what to think. Lars is very uncomfortable, and you wonder about his whole story. You feel his pain and want to stop him from embarrassing himself. You fall in love with the compassion of this small snowy town and well, the leading lady, Bianca. lol It's def. original.

And can I just say? I'm glad Ryan Gosling got back together with his REAL leading lady, Rachel McAdams!!!!

They dated shortly after making "The Notebook" in 2004 and broke up last year. Now... it seems they're hot and heavy again! swoon.

Christina Applegate is SO pretty. She always has been. Who didn't love her in "Sweetest Things" with Cameron Diaz and the annoying Selma Blaire? lol

the ultimate girl movie!

I watched her on Oprah early this week and fell in love even more. She was talking about her decision to have a double mastectomy to be cancer-free. I can't even imagine, and I pray to God that I never have to.

There was a funny moment on Oprah where Applegate was telling her that doctors now can make "pretty boobies." Oprah is about to say, "before we take a break" but instead said, "before we take a look.." and kept going. LOL it was SO FUNNY! Christina Applegate was cute cos she goes [after Oprah corrected herself],

"I was about to say, now? how about afterwards?" or something like that. lol Oprah said she wondered what they looked like, pretty boobies. lol They both have GIRL POWER. Oprah's my shero btw. :)

i love halloween!!!!

yesterday at our work lncheon, some of the mother's were sharing the "hot spots" to go trick-or-treating and talking about when they were crafty and made costumes for their kids, etc. I shared my story of how I never got a "store bought" costume... My momma just put me in a fancy dress and put make-up on me and I was a "princess." lol And i was one of those kiddos with a pillow case-- not a cutesy pumpkin basket, etc. :)

Sam said, "your momma did you wrong!" lol it was too funny!
what is everyone going to be this year?

I doubt I can top last year as a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader (I LOVE my cowboys!!!) ... (or jarrod's outfit that is!!!) :) ha!

but this year may be more fun because me, mehle, lauren, tasha, and my twinkie are always dressing up as characters of my fave, "Alice in Wonderland!" Since Alice is already taken... I get to be the Kooky Cheshire Cat!
