a week ago, i got me a husband.

in just a few hours this time last week in fact.

fittingly, our marriage license came in the post today...

my husband went to north carolina for the day to spend some time with his (our) adorable niece and nephew. he'll be back later this evening and i'm going to surprise him with this:

our first Christmas tree together! i told him i wanted a pink or silver tree to which he made faces. he's lucky Target didn't have one in a bigger size! i'm in love with our first little christmas tree.

p.s. i'm off to have dinner with his parents (it's pizza night!). His papa called to make sure i'd still be coming over since max is not going to be there and when i answered the phone he said, "hello mrs. maxham!" i love it. i adore my in-laws!

I'm jealous--that's a truly gorgeous marriage certificate. The one we have from the State of Nebraska is really plain and boring. :(

Love your pretty tree, too. Hope Max was happily surprised.
