Wanting to Know you Wens.

it's only day 4 of the new year and i'm trying desperately to not break all of my resolutions. a list of sorts of what i'm challenging myself to do in 2012:

(image 1,2,3,5,7)

1. take more photographs // use my new Polaroid Instant Digital Camera
2. take myself on more "me dates" starting with a movie... something i've never done alone
3. create more collage postcards & get back to sending love letters
4. volunteer {orientation at the el paso humane society is january 21st & i'll be there}
5. read from my own library {think kaileen elise's 1-year challenge} i am known to buy a beautiful book or three at a used book shop and there it sits on my shelves. not this year, i say!
6. eat healthier, beginning with this smoothie recipe from lesley graham

what are your hopes for your glittery new year? tell me a resolution below :

Love your resolutions. I could probably pick up a few for myself! Including actually reading a book from my own bookshelf. I'm terrible at that!

Ahh! I'm swooning over that english bully! I'm a sucker for them!! Props to you for already planning on going to the orientation. I REALLY want to dedicate time to the animal shelter here. Thank you for reminding me. xoxoxo

Happy New Year! Going to the movies by yourself is not so bad. I really like it every now and then. You get to watch whatever you want and you can sit alone with your popcorn and cry all you want if you need to.

I need to read my own books too! I buy five at a time and read one, not this year! I want to try and get up at 6am on weekdays this year so that I can have more time in my day.

i'm with you on the books...i'm not buying a single book until all my to be reads are indeed read! haha!

I have a huge list of "to do's" (I don't like the term resolutions) for 2012, because this is my year... 12 has always been my favourite number ;)

I am going to become more organised, am going to read at least 14 new books, I am going to get back on track with writing letters, I am going to eat healthier and stop smoking, in preparation for trying for a BABY! and I am going to start making jewellery again.

I owe you a big, long letter and it will be in the post as soon as possible. I won't commit to a date, because life sometimes gets in the way of plans <3

That Kale smoothie looks delish. I love your resolutions. Going to the movies solo is fun... so is going out to eat. With your books or a crossword puzzle, or your new camera, and just have fun.

Those are VERY good resolutions... i have a few of my own, but not sure i can stick with all of them... which is why we make more than one right? ;)

1. Wash my face every night before bed. {this is much harder than it sounds}

2. Run 3 days a week or more

3. Eat healthier, lose some of that holiday weight! {the one on almost everyone's list}

4. Spend less on the little things so there can be more spent on TRAVEL! :)

Happy new year!

xoxo

awww, you linked to Lesley! She is full of healthy recipes, smoothies, etc. Yum!

I can't believe you got one of those polaroid instant digital cameras--amazing!!!

These are wonderful goals. You already do many of these things & I'm excited to hear about your adventures to come. I can't make year-long resolutions cause I always break them . . . so I'm sticking to monthly goals for now.

love you!

These are great resolutions! You know mine, and a short term one? Read all the books I got for Christmas! I'm 2 for 6 and have only a week of break left! Agh!

I don't like resolutions, but I'm hoping this is the year I finally get back into shape. I need to start working out... consistently. lol

Mine are to eat more healthy and lose weight. Also to tone up this body of mine. I'm going to try your smoothie recipe. I love your book shelf. It's gorgeous.

happy new year! i'm going to try that green smoothie recipe. my green smoothie consists of a banana, pb, almond milk, ice, honey, oats and spinach. i know it sounds disgusting but it tastes like a peanut butter/banana milkshake + it's so refreshing.

Yay! Glad you posted your resolutions Micaela -- now you should post progress often so that we/and you can see how far you've come!

One of my resolutions (along with Chad) is to read the entire Bible in a year. We've been consistent so far and already I'm noticing how much closer I'm feeling to him. And Him. :)

I love all of your resolutions, and I love that little bulldog face in the ad you posted :)

My resolutions are similar! Take more photos of my personal life, read more books, try new things. So far, so good :)
