Sharing Sundays... little is the new big (miniature rhino)

i've been a fan of Jessica's etsy & blog for some time now. She's a collector of curiosities and you can see this in her creations. She makes her handmade objects from her home in Brooklyn.

images from her blog below

marquez (as she likes when people call her by her last name - i agree, it's a good name) makes the prettiest embroideries of which I'm sure you've already fallen in love with. These are my two favorites.

For Rice Babie's "i love vintage" swap, i purchased Miniature Rhino's vintage postage + kraft envelope set as the perfect add-on (two things i love : vintage / old fashion correspondence).

I always wondered how Marquez got the name "Miniature Rhino" and with my purchase came the answer. Her young cousin once had an imaginary friend named Dr. Rhino. Since then the rhino "has been a symbol of creativity and imagination" for her. She says it's the "best feeling to share the products [her] imagination" with her customers.

I might have fallen in love with her a little more.

Wow she has some lovely stuff - I daren't look at the shop at the moment as it's not payday for a couple of weeks, so I'd just be taunting myself!

I'm a new follower - nice to meet you :)

I've fallen in love with her shop and blog! I must look look at it soon. Thanks for sharing Micaela. Ever so thoughtful!

Haha and I think it's great that you feel you can't always write what you think in your journals. I think what I might do is write out everything I want to get out of my system and then I will rip it up so that no one can ever read it.
