ita actually one of my all time favorites! (and i learned about it from your blog). i've watched it about 3 times now.. i own it.. and i do cry every single time. beautiful.
LOVE that movie. The best dialogue was in the very beginning when he was hitting on her in the library ...
Jennifer: You look rich and stupid. Oliver: Well, what if I'm smart and poor? Jennifer: I'M smart and poor. Oliver: Well what makes you so smart? Jennifer: I wouldn't go out for coffee with you, that's what. Oliver: Well, what if I wasn't even gonna ask you to go out for coffee with me? Jennifer: That's what makes you stupid.
This post means so much to me. My Daddy and I would watch this movie together a lot, when I was in High School. He loved picking out movies that he knew I would love and then we would sit in his office and have movie date nights. He loved to tell me that my Mommy looked like Ali McGraw. Now, when I watch it (with my Daniel and Bono Baby) I always cry too. But I cry because the movie is so touching and I miss my Daddy. I love thinking about those movie date nights. I am trying to collect every movie that I can remember watching with him.
love love, Fritzi Marie
p.s. I love that your parents went to the Drive In to see this on their first date. So Romantic!
