first: above is some of my favorite vintage pieces in my jewelry box {yup, that's a unicorn necklace and the bow earrings were a sweet gift from this sweet girl}. The leaf necklace i got at a garage sale with my old roommate katy. It belonged to this cute little grandma who told me she had wonderful adventures wearing this necklace. As i put it on, i promised her i would have my own little adventures wearing it.
i love one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces that tell a story.
if you're the same, you'll be just as excited as i was when my friend Danielle posted about a vintage jewelry swap! Head over to {have a cute day} and sign up before October 25th. I've already told Danielle we're going to our favourite antique shop downtown when we get our partners because she is the queen of finding the best vintage baubles in the jewelry bins.
second: speaking of swaps, be thinking of ornaments already because my ornament exchange is just around the corner! last year we had so much fun that i've already been brainstorming with my favourite ladies (thank-you M, twinkie, Claire, & Erin!!!).
third: speaking of my favourite ladies... Jessie is off on a desert vacation so she's asked me to blogsit her little corner of the internet, Life. I'll be guest posting over there til she gets back next thursday and my first installment was today! please say hello and read about this beautiful girl i met while in college here. you are lovely for doing so xo

sorry, i'm behind on replies, and i told myself that i was going to call you today, but obviously i didn't. anyway, yes yes, let's definitely go downtown to shop for our partners!
those feather ornaments are so pretty, and they remind me of a porcelain wing on etsy i coveted for the longest time (then i couldn't find it again).
XOXO!
Loving your vintage jewelry! It's so great to find awesome pieces at little markets and such :)
Can't wait for the ornament swap! make sure to let me know! I'll keep an eye out for the announcement, but don't forget to include meeeee!
ohh those feather ornaments are gorgeous!!! (like your heart!)
Wow! Thanks for the heads up - I'm always looking for swaps to join, and I do love sending mail packages (sometimes more than receiving them) - I'll definitely check out the vintage jewelry swap AND look forward to joining your Ornament Swap! Great ideas, Micaela!
love love love your pretty jewelry lady! i have a leaf necklace that i just adore....it has not seen nearly enough adventures yet, but i am working on it. maybe we can take our leaves on an European adventure someday soon :)

carrie
i already joined! i'm excited about this swap for sure!
so excited for the ornament swap!
Oh I just love the ornament swap (my first ever last year, and the way I met lovely you!) and can't wait to join. So glad I could help with the planning...
I adore that leaf necklace. So pretty on you! (and I love that the lady who sold it to you promised adventures) I love leaves and would wear something like that all the time. I rarely shop vintage (there's not a lot of shops in my area, though if I could get downtown more often, I know I'd find all sorts of treasures... must try to do that soon!)
Going to check out your guest post in a minute. Hope you're enjoying dinner with Max's parents tonight.
xoxo
you just sparkle with inspiration!
Your vintage jewellery is so beautiful! A little unicorn :) And that swap sounds awesome. I will have to check it out and maybe participate.
And I'm soo happy that you like the brooch. I really adore her shop and glad you like it too.
Plus you had the most adorable comment about our letters :) It does feel that way I agree. xx
That is the SWEETEST story behind your leaf necklace! You have a special connection with that lady for ever and ever and ever now! :)
Lovely necklace! Good luck with the swap organization dear!
The jewelry is amazing... can't wait for the ornament swap, it was such a success last year.

An ornament exchange!?! Totally love this idea!!
Hello Micaela,
I've missed you too my sweet friend. Seems I've been on a break for along while, first summer then I ended up having my appendix out in Sept. I think I'm finally getting back into the swing of things and have gotten back to blogging. Thanks for stopping by. I hope to visit you more often. I have something that to send to you that I picked up a month ago so be looking for something in the mail from me. I still think about you often and pray for you too. I think the Lord puts you on my mind. He does stuff like that sometimes. Love you.
mmm, now i need to go make some pumpkin chocolate chip muffins.

You have the most beautiful jewelry, love it!
