Wanting to Know you Wens.

this is my darling fiance max. if you look closely, he's reading my blog (and if you look even closer, you can see all his post-it reminders. i joked that he's like the guy in Momento).

max is a pretty good fan of my blog (he gave me an upcoming giveaway idea, after all!) and after claire's eric surprised her with a guest post over at bicoastally and this hi-larious photo of danielle's husband modeling a thrifting find at Dinosaur Toes, i had a curious question for you lovies.

how does your boyfriend/husbands feel about your blog? do they read it or only when you ask? do they think it's weird? i want all the details! has he ever done a guest post for you?

i love that max understands what a big part of my life blogging is and he doesn't think it's weird that some of my best friends are blog friends i actually talk to on the phone with but haven't met just yet... which i admit sounds weird on the surface, but not if you knew our friendships.

but i will say that i never ask him to take photos of me cos a.) i feel silly and b.) he rolls his eyes when i ask him to take the same picture 10x (but that's more my issue!)

and sometimes i will ask max to read my blog when he gets a chance, if it's something i've written about him because though he reads it often, it might not be every single day.

so what about you and your guy? do tell!

ps. i want to do a virtual date incorporating our guys but i'm not sure what just yet... if you have an idea, jot it down to please. xo

Brendan is actually the one who convinced me to stick with blogging when I first started out and I am so glad that he did. He probably has a glance once a fortnight or so. I dont think he thinks its weird but he finds it hard to understand how I have made such meaningful relationships through the internet.

Dave {known as boyfriend on my blog} is totally supportive of my blog, and thinks its really cool that i have "blog friends" that i've never met before. they're like "online pen pals" he says. -- although, he doesn't read my blog unless i ask him. i think he considers it a diary, like it's off limits to him or something, haha.

Matt is really supportive of my blogging. He has it on his toolbar (hehe) and I don't know how often he reads it but he used to a lot. He thinks it's neat that I have a little life in blog world.. haha

That I know of, David has never read my blog, nor have I asked him too. He knows I have blog friends who have become penpals. And he teases me about it when I start giggling at the computer screen, but he has never said it is weird. I think like so many of my other things - he is happy it makes me happy and that is all he knows about it. ha!

Dave AKA "Le Beau" loves the fact that I have a blog. He does read my posts and enjoys them. I think sometimes he feels like I blog things before he knows them though!

Hehe it's sweet that he's reading your blog.

Jason reads mine too as he has it in his google reader :) I know he doesn't read it all the time but he does fairly often.

I love that he understands my need and love for blogging and for the friendships I made. He knows it makes me happy and is supportive.

He is yet to do a guest blog. Maybe I will let him do one sometime :)

Mr. Spend 'n Chomp is definitely supportive of the blog and knows how much it means to me. I have given him a hard time because he was supposed to guest post like 6 months ago about how to DJ your own wedding. Maybe we'll still post it but wondering how relevant it will be (would it be useful for you dear?)

Yes! My husband reads and loves my blog. I write about him all the time.

My guy loves Memento too! :)

Hubby checks my blog daily, and encourages me to keep on going whenever I get discouraged about time constraints and such. He is also a big internet community lover (tumblr and reddit) so he gets totally understands the enjoyment I get out of blogging.

P.S. - love that photo of Max :)

Humbe is very supportive of me having a blog. When he's home he'll ask me if I blogged already, and if my little night owl is still awake he will chase after him so I can blog ; D He will read it sometimes or I'll read it to him while I get a foot rub *wink* therefore it's better reading it out loud. Humbe loves to see me happy and thinks it's very cool that I've met some pretty sweet people with so much in common whom I wouldn't have met otherwise. But my number #1 fan Miguelito ; D Ha! A virtual date featuring our husbands *wink* or fiancée , it should be a silly one : D I could make Humbe wear some silly glasses or something else. Love you lots xoxo

I completely relate! My best friend and I met on LiveJournal. She lives in Boston; I live in Florida. We met after a year of friendship when she visited FL with her fam. This year I was able to fly to Boston to see her and I already have my flight booked for March of next year! People always thought it was weird that we met online but she's literally the BEST and I'm so glad I did! :D

yes, chip and chris would be great friends. chris' desktop computer is so covered in post its that you can't even see a computer under there! hahaha!

sometimes chris reads my blog without me knowing, other times i have to ask him if he's read it lately, but he knows how important it is to me and doesn't give me a hard time about it. also, i think he might even be a little jealous of all the amazing friends i've made through blogging! also, he feels special when i do a post about him. does chip feel flattered when he's included?

also, i rarely EVER get chris to take my picture because i'm way too embarrassed and i get so giggly. then chris just gets annoyed! it's so much easier to use the tripod.

i can't believe you didn't get hail last night. it was super creepy the way the weather changed!

xoxo, my pretty fiance!

I secretly am a little jealous of all the friends you have made through blogging. Maybe not so secretly now, ha.

It's interesting to hear how all the other guys handle their lady's blog.

Blogging has had a profound effect on you, I know it made moving away from your family easier, and may have kept you from getting too sick of me!

I may not always read, but I'm very grateful for your blog...

My Daniel proofreads my blog. The biggest advantage of being married to an English instructor. I can see when he is looking at it when he is at work. He is so cute and he checks in frequently through out the day. He calls me sometimes to talk about a comment or to tell me if I have a new follower. He likes my blog. I think what he likes most is how happy it makes me. I love documenting our life and sharing our little vintage finds with the world. He does get a little tired of taking photo's of me on our Sunday adventure drives but he is also helping me save up for a new camera with a remote thingy. Daniel is an amazing husband who puts up with my many silly photo shoots and hours and blogging ideas. He loves that I have made so many dear friends (you included dear Micaela). He has done a few guest posts for things like our anniversary or my birthday. I'm a lucky lady, that's for sure.

love love,
Kitty

Javi, my husband doesn't know I have a blog. It's not like I've kept it from him but I think if he knew he would think it's silly...I've had this blog for about two years but was very insecure about it...only about six months ago I put more effort into it. I see blogging as my diary and my kids love it and a great plus I've made some sweet friends on my little corner of the internet...one day I will tell him!

My husband reads my blog regularly and I always find it funny when I suddenly look across at his laptop and see him reading my post or comments!

He has encouraged me back to blogging when I had a break and has commented on how much happier I seem now that I am back in the 'blogging world'!

He hasn't written a post yet though - don't think he is quite that brave!

Andrew (aka "Love") doesn't read my blog. I really don't think I'll ever even ask him to. He knows that as someone who uses the written word to 'vent' or to sort out thoughts, it is important to me to have this little corner of the internet. He understands that in a weird way, it's private. (Only a few people I know 'in real life' know about my blog- and nobody that I deal with on a daily basis reads it. I prefer it that way!) We really don't talk about 'blogging'- although he does tease me about my friends that I've made. He jokes about my 'imaginary friends' and chuckles when I get excited about sending and receiving mail! It's all in good fun, though. He thinks it's interesting and fun that I've formed several friendships from this and is completely supportive.

My husband, a.k.a. Mr. Blue Eyed Yonder, actually proof reads almost all of my posts for me. He will sometimes offer suggestions or make little corrections here and there. I like to watch his face as he reads. I like how his lip curls up when he reads something funny. He likes to check the blog every now and then for comments. He loves the comments, haha!

well, it was boypren who got me to start and then continue blogging. It's funny; sometimes when he reads my blog (in total secrecy I might add), he uses the things that I write against me! hahaha..like tonight, while we were out for coffee, he knocks my knees and asks if they are still weak (from the post of him getting new glasses)! and it totally catches me off-guard! lol

boypren has done a guest post for me but that was a really long time ago, while he was still studying in the UK. Although I dont think he will make another appearance on my blog; he has a blog of his own too but it's kinda boring techie stuff. LOLZ! he will kill me if he reads this! :p

I LOVE this picture. I have always thought it so adorable how Max loves your blog and even sometimes comments. I don't think my darling husband would be interested in posting... if anything because he is a man of so few words he probably wouldn't know what to say but I do know he reads my blog because he will often times make comments about loving a picture or something I said... its wonderful to feel supported even if he doesn't actively participate.

chris is always the one who reaches for my computer as soon as i finish typing up a blog post so he can read it. he also has a blog of his own, so we are always reading blogs together, or popping up on each others. we are just nerdy.

Alan reads my blog pretty often. He's a computer programmer and SEO specialist, so he's always keen to help me with layout and stats and stuff. He checks my Google analytics and points out when I've had a lot of readers on a particular day. And he's always encouraging me to comment a lot on other people's blogs, to increase my readership. I know he'll be excited when I hit 100 followers! He also comes up with ideas for posts on occasion, like when one of the boys says something really hilarious. He'll say to me, "Oh! You'd better write that one down! That will make a great post."

Oh, and one more thing. He is really encouraging about the friendships I have made through blogging. When our weekend with Cassie had to be cancelled this summer, and I was crying, he was the one who said to me, "Look. We can't leave England without you two meeting. It just wouldn't be right." And then he got me to go online and find new train tickets so we could travel to Ipswich so we could have lunch together, the day before we flew home. I'm so glad that we did, too!

xoxo

Ryan has my blog bookmarked and checks it every day. He is super supportive of everything I write and everything I'm interested in, even if it's not something he loves himself. He even puts up with me posting dorky photos and vids of him :)

Want to know the cutest part? He reads comments, and remembers my blog friends based on who comments most. PRE. CIOUS.

The hubby has been so supportive of blogging, whether it be copy editor, or suggesting a blog about a certain topic. He smiles when I meet a blogger in real life or he sees the piles of packages I am sending to my blogger friends. I consider myself lucky to have him!

My boyfriend knows I have a blog but I'm pretty sure he's only personally read it a few times. But he always asks if I've posted about him, in which case he makes me read them to him haha. He thinks it's kind of silly I have a blog but he knows how much I love it. He's not big on things like facebook or blogging (which secretly i'm grateful for, it keeps me grounded). (and i think this is my first comment haha)

I heart max :) Thomas needs to take some serious notes, haha.

Thomas only reads it if there is something I want to show him - he used to have a music blog so I try not to talk about mine too much as I think he misses having the time to write his one - it was before all the follower stuff so he never knew how many people read it and I don't want him to think that I'm boasting...

I think he thinks I spend far too much time on it, which is probably true, but he does appreciate that it stops me from going mad with boredom at work...
