home is where the heart is.

it's a little after 3 a.m. here in Texas, and I can't sleep. I've had such a fun lazy sunday with my Momma & seesters. (pappa left thursday night for a mission trip to Honduras with our church so it's just us girls)

we've laughed til our sides hurt at at our favorite mexican restaurant, watched an old childhood film we loved (anyone remember "The Worst Witch"?) and took naps in our parents room. 10 days have flown by fast.

Tuesday, i'll be back on a plane to VA to a fiance i have missed and a furry white puppy who i can't wait to hold again.

i think i can't sleep because it hit me a second ago that i'll have to leave again. I grabbed my Mom's notebook and left a little letter in there for her to find, hopefully after i leave. I told her how she is THE BEST mom a girl can have. That she is my favorite person.

and that i miss her already.

"the worst witch"...too funny, i haven't seen that in years.

i know your heart must be hurting... sister and mom time is such a gift that we take for granted when we live far away. I can't wait for the recap ... love you

So glad you had such a good time at home. It's just so good for the heart and soul to be with your family, in the place you know best, isn't it?

Still, you'll be with Max and Maverick again soon, and that will be wonderful too!

Have a safe journey.
xoxo

Aw, it's such a catch-22, isn't it? I'm glad you're having fun back in TX with your fam. M, you have such a big heart, it's split: half is in Texas and half is in Virginia... because it needs to be two places at once. And that's ok.

That Texas waffle is so cute! I'm from Georgia (but live in California now) so I totally understand the loyalty for one's home state. Lucky for you, there's all kinds of Texas paraphernalia out there . . . I bought my bff a Texas pendant necklace from Urban Outfitters for Christmas this year!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Worst Witch! In fact, I rented it this past Halloween and made my hubby watch it with me :) I still remembered every line, expression and song from it!

Leaving home is always hard, but I'm glad you had a lovely stay (even if I'm a bit late in saying so).
