Two Things i Love... Around my Home.

my two are similar today: peacock knick knack purchased yesterday at my favorite antique shop downtown and old fashioned calendar my old room mate Katy gave me when we moved out of our loft downtown in Texas. The details of the two are intricately beautiful.

the peacock came in a pair- one slightly bigger. I'm saving it for Rice Babie's Love Vintage Package Exchange. {you can see the button on my sidebar} I'm a sucker for putting together packages for swaps indeed, but the vintage love one is one after my own heart. (My momma always asks me where i got my eclectic taste from.) I'm really excited about all the swaps but this vintage one is pie for me (or a cupcake).

play along and show me two things in your casa via BacWoods Fern. (Kassie, i know all about moving so i wish you patience & good music on this move. Your new house is gorgeous btw!)

I love vintage patterns and those both have fabulous ones. There is just something about patterns with that aged look that I just love too.

Thank you for your kind comments on my little post and love to see Erin is putting the stationary I sent to good use ;)

Hey Micaela, thanks for your comment! You're right, good conversation really is a blessing. I was very shy in my younger years and now all I want to do is talk with people. I love learning anything I can about and from others, it's become a very important part of my life since my accident in '08.

And Coldplay, HELL yeah! I've been a fan for ten years, since they released 'Parachutes'. If you recall the second-last point I wrote in my post, you'll understand why these words resonate with me so much...

"Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you."

I've skimmed through your blog, and I think it's awesome the way you've brought a personal touch to those you blog with. Drop me a line if you're interested in adding a postcard from Toronto to your collection of goodies. :)

Okay, first, I think that calendar is awesome! I've never seen one like that before! Second, I have seen one of those peacocks before. When I was younger, I used to dig holes everywhere I went because I just knew I'd unearth a treasure. So one afternoon when I was at my Grandma's, I started digging behind the back porch and I found the tail feather section of the peacock, then I dug (a lot) more and found the body! I was so sure I'd found some lost relic, so I went inside screaming, and Grandma burst my bubble. She said she'd had that since about the 70's and she guessed when they moved it got left outside and eventually covered with dirt. Hmph. I still kept it and told myself that the next discovery would be special!

So anyway, neat finds, my friend!
