a super duper win & fill in the blanks!

I was so excited when I saw this image on Super Duper :

I can't believe i won Louise's Easter Giveaway!!! With everything going on in mine and max's personal lives - a little bit of sunshine was needed. Thank-you teacup of chance! & thank-you Louise for hosting such a fabulous giveaway! Really, if you haven't done so, check out this pretty girl's blog & etsy (you'll swoon) xo

speaking of giveaways, i told myself when i reached 300 followers, I would host one. I rounded up a few goodies so check this space next week! i still can remember when i couldn't believe i broke 100 followers. It's my way of saying thank-you for being part of my Dolce Vita. x

HAPPY FRIDAY LOVIES!!! How about another round of fill in the blank friday?

1. The strangest thing I've ever eaten was fried spinach at the Briar Patch (rumored to be visited by Jackie O). The spinach was like chips almost, light and crispy. It was pretty good but strange- leave it up to us to make something unhealthy ;)As a vegetarian most my life, I've never had any strange meats like snake or cow testicles lol.

2. My best friend is my soul mate. She gets me like NO ONE else. I can seriously tell her anything & never fear I'll be judged. She's my bestie, my M. Have you met Marisa? She's the best gift blogging ever gave me. People are so surprised to know we've never met because we are SO connected. I love her more than words.

3. If I could live in a different era it would be the late 1950's because I REALLY would have loved to have seen ELVIS perform.

{me at a blues bar on Beale Street}

4. I like watching indie/foreign films, thrifting, going to the post office, naps during the day, and doing something nice "just because."

5. If you only know one thing about me it should be that family is my center. They are the greatest beings, and God has truly blessed us with one another.

6. My favorite book of all time is "The Time Traveler's Wife" but growing up it was "A Wrinkle in Time" & Judy Blume's "Tiger Eyes" which will make me cry to this day.

7. The one beauty product I couldn't live without is concealer- DEF.

8. Blogging is one of the best decisions i've made. I've met so many incredible friends & i love the connections we share. I'm constantly inspired (you're my muses) and still find it incredible that anyone is curious about this little corner of the internet of mine. I can never thank you enough for being my friend!

9. If I could star in a movie with any actor/actress I would want to work with Robert Pattinson in hopes of a kissing scene (hey i wouldn't mind playing a cougar). Actress- Penelope Cruz (she is my number one girl crush!)

10. One of the best feelings in the world is when my nieces/nephew say they love me. My heart always melts.

Tiger Eyes was my favourite book growing up too! And I'd completely forgotten about it until just a few seconds ago! I don't remember what it was about, only that it made me sob and sob and sob!

I think I'll Fill In The Blanks this week - a really good set of questions :-)

i've eaten a chickens heart before. totally chewy and so nasty. no thank you to that.

as for the last one you put, even though they aren't my official blood nieces and nephews, when they tell me they love me it makes my whole life. especially when they say it first.

love you! congrats on passing 300! you deserve it.

I have had fried spinach before. It is so weird but gooooood. A Wrinkle in Time was my favorite book as a little girl too.

Love all your answers. I can totally see you in the 50s, rocking a poodle skirt and swooning over Elvis!

Really must make some time later to fill in the blanks. Love the questions this week!

Must dash. Time to pick up D from preschool.

Happy Friday, dear M! Enjoy your last weekend before the new job begins (you'll love it, and they'll love you, I'm sure of it!)

Claire, my best friend lives in Fargo, ND. Your comment was one of the SWEETEST i ever got!!! what did you think about AI's save on Big Mike? i was surprised it was him to tell you the truth. You should see me when I watch it- i get so nervous for them I have a blanket up to my mouth like a little girl. LOL

Jess (Sushi Pie), it is good but yes on the WEIRD! I loved the imagination of "A Wrinkle in Time." TESSERACT, and the 3 ladies. OOOH and the medium! i remember i chose that book as a book report one and my goodness i rambled on and on telling my teacher about it. It was SO involved :)

Shelly, I emailed you about Tiger Eyes. I'm so glad I had Judy Blume growing up.. who else would talk about divorce, periods, scoliosis ("Deenie" was a good one too) or that ick word-- masturbation? lol in college i almost did my banned books assignment on her but opted for "Lolita" instead. Do tell me what you think of it & I'll let you know what i think of ELP- from the very forward she had me :) xo

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR COMMENTS!!! :) each and every one of you make me smile!!!!

Congrats on the win.

I love reading your fill in the blanks. Although i have to say, coming from Texas, the weirdest thing you ate was fried spinich, you got lucky. There are small animals that rn when they see me, I try to explain I was tricked into eating that, but the rabbits still run

I just loved reading your answers. It's so lovely to know more about you. I don't think it's strange that you haven't met your best friend. I think it's so wonderful.

WHAT IS YOUR LEFT HAND DOING IN THAT PICTURE?!

Hahahaha JK JK.

I love you even more now. I remember my sister reading A Wrinkle in Time to me when I was little and loving it. But can you believe I don't remember any of it? It's my personal goal to get around to reading the Madeleine L'Engle books. :)

I seriously think it's amazing that you and Marisa are that close without having met each other. I can't even imagine how amazing it will be the day you both finally meet in person.
