Sharing Sundays... Jumbleberry Orchard.

meet Catherine (pictured with her Daniel) of

there are so many reasons i keep going back to her little corner of the internet for more... besides that we both see art in book covers (this one below, a Wilde book she purchased and wanted the print to hang up on her walls-- i purchased a mystery paperback last weekend that i wasn't interested at all in reading just for a silhouette of a woman's back on the cover i wanted to frame as art), i love how brave she is.

In her 2009 round-up, she included these photographs of herself: beautiful long red hair to very beautiful pixie short.

on her blog she wrote :

"I always wanted to, and finally I had the courage to go for it. To anyone else thinking of doing something outrageous with a view to feeling new, liberated, whatever; I say go for it! I loved my hair long, but it will grow back, and I currently love it short. I can't loose :-)"

i love that she went for it.

Catherine loves tea & flowers, lives in York, is a linguistics student and if there's anything that made me adore her more... it was for this post of hers titled Honest.

I will have to check out her blog. I think she is so brave and I like that she went out and cut her hair. If only I had the guts to do the things I want to do.

Well, I went over to take a look and I have to say... I love her little corner of the internet! What about her reminds you of me? I'm so curious! (I would never have the guts to chop off all my hair! I do try to be honest though, and not to paint a picture of life being all sunshine and roses all the time...)

I love your Sharing Sundays. I was so excited when it was me you featured...

Hope you're feeling better soon, my sweet. xoxo

Thank you for introducing Jumbleberry Orchard! Her post was so true. Blogging can heal. It got me through the worst year of my life and a terrible depression. It allowed me to find myself again. Yes, I usually blog about silly stuff and TOTALLY edit the pictures I post on there, but sometimes I speak directly from the heart. Check out this post http://punkinandbean.blogspot.com/2010/02/what-i-know-for-sure.html
It describes my year of re-discovering myself. The girl over at Jumbleberry Orchard hit the nail on the head about the importance of blogging about the ugly things in our lives too.

How brave she is. I used to have my hair like that when I was young and it was so easy and fun. I am tempted many times to cut my hair off like that again. Maybe after I lose my weight.
