date night at the lechuga-maxham household & a surprise this morning.

last night to get my mind off of Maverick not being home, husband-to-be took me out for a pizza date night. (i am ALWAYS in the mood for pizza!) We went to Rivermont Pizza and ate every bit of the food in front of us. We had the bruschetta appetizer with the yummiest Gorgonzola spread with granny smith apples on top. The pizza was just as yummy (we chose the Cajun pie dish). I was charmed.

this morning i slept in and guess what my husband-to-be did? he woke up early and picked up maverick so he could surprise me while i was still in bed. (better than breakfast in bed this morning!) It was the SWEETEST THING ever. I am so glad to have her back.

She's got the dreaded cone on her head which i hate, but as i type this, she is laying in her comfy bed next to me, and her big sister Bubbles is being so helpful (as you can see).

she says thank-you for all your well wishes!!! xo

we're off to cuddle.

Thank you lovies for all your well wishes. I truly think they helped! ugh, the cone of shame... i know (rhianne, YES! i've seen UP- LOVE IT!!! i seriously wish i could get maverick a talking collar LOL)

Fortunately, she did good with it but come yesterday night i took it off cos i couldn't take it anymore lol she is doing well and NEARLY to her old self again.

J, come visit me! we can explore together!!! as much as i love it, i miss the old familar city i left behind :( there is no Toby's (our college bar!!!) and no girlfriends i could easily call up to meet me for a happy hour. But it is nice to spend this time with DF. seriously, come visit!!!!

Jen, thank you thank you for the award and your sweet words :) it means a lot! can't wait to do it.

Katie, so glad to meet you!!! A girl who lives in the City i truly loved... (notice my pup who's a girl is named Maverick... for my DALLAS MAVERICKS!!! I'm a Dirk girl!) I really wished i met all you Texas girls when i was still there. :) I can't wait to check out your blog and if you came here from Brown Girl, i just know we'll get along!
