where's your place?

it's me Marisa again...

so... I caught the travel bug at a very young age as I was blessed with a father who traveled alot for work and took me along to so many exciting locations (England, Kenya, Australia, Argentina, Brazil)...I always tell people that I have my passport with me at all times because you never know when you might need to rush off to France, Switzerland or Scotland at a moments notice. Right?

For the moment my heart is set on Italy. I have been taking Italian for the past year and even though I have not put as much time into it as I would like, I think I would fair well with the locals. I keep telling bestie that maybe we can talk our men into a little couples trip... if not I would be happy going with just her or even by myself.
"A man who has not been in Italy, is always conscious of an inferiority, from his not having seen what is expected a man should see."

Below are some pictures taken by my talented father.
If you don't already dream of going... these should do the trick.

Portifino...

Burano Island... aren't the colors just divine?

and OF COURSE... Venice

Plus Micaela is always telling me that I have to see the sunflowers (my favorite flower)in Tuscany...
Where is your dream place to visit?

xoxo

France. I went last summer, for 4 days and only just barely touched on the glory of it all!

I want to see Paris, to wander the museums and galleries, to sit at a sidewalk cafe with a friend and chat for hours over cafe au lait and pain au chocolat.

I want to see Provence, and the lavender fields in bloom.

I want to browse the country markets, buying fruit and veg and big bundles of flowers.

We're planning a trip to London this summer (where hubby's from) and I am really, really hopeful we can hop across the channel for a week or so. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Paris, Paris, Paris, Paris, French countryside, Paris. I was in Paris on Bastille Day for 18 hours on a fluke, and I have been yearning to go back and stay for at least a month. And I will darnit!

Oh, Italy is on the top of my travel list as well, and your father's pictures are gorgeous! Even if I do go, I'm sure my photos will never come out that well!

Africa! I'd love to go for my honeymoon (whenever that comes...) but I'm not sure how agreeable my BF/would-be husband would be about that.

Congrats again on the engagement dear! I'm here for wedding inspiration any time. :)

Hmm I've been dreaming about a resort in Bali or Phuket - a bungalow over the sea but still a short hop away from lovely Hindu temples and great food.

South of France would be nice too with great friends, baguettes, cheese, and wine. Divine!
