happy things with which to end the week.

♥ i have really talented and beautiful friends like Kitty who made this doll for Felix. love love love, just like her & her son, baby Roscoe. 

♥ Kait told me about Target selling limited-edition soup cans with Warhol's iconic imagery. Clearly, i had to pick up some for us (she lives in Canada). My favorite Warhol quote, "I think everybody should like everybody."

♥ putting care packages together are my favorite. A belated housewarming for L. Nicole (i can't wait to show you all that she sent Felix and me in a post next week)

♥ Felix is one of the cool bebes now, she finally has a Sophie la girafe ;)

♥ how my husband says he's sorry 

♥ Kary's son (who's like a nephew to us) celebrated his 9th birthday on the 5th. How me and twinks wish we could be in NYC all together again eating Shake Shack & Magnolia. 

♥ these sippy cups twinkie bought (both are the same gold metallic, forgive the lighting)

♥ being featured on Megan's floral lookbook. Gosh, i don't even recognize my old waist or my less chubby cheeks. Also? after admiring the other bloggers, must get some floral pants after baby.

♥ cheers to another season of FOOTBALL! ahem, DALLAS COWBOYS FOOTBALL!!! What a way for our boys to kickoff the season with an amazing win against the Giants. SO EXCITED for more of that!  

♥ husband took me on a movie date (probably one of our last for awhile, which sounds crazy!) to see this one and i loved it.

thrifted for baby.

lately i've been finding really good handmade blankets (read, i want to buy them all).

i can't get over the stool, especially since husband had one like it when he was little. 

i loved finding a mini version pyrex beaker (i use mine to hold make-up brushes).

the white lace crochet pillow is thrifted / the deer one is from vintage jane, a gift from auntie marianne.

the milk glass lamp? only $2. 

the trash can is nothing special but it fits with felix's nursery :) 

oh how i love a good thrifting "me date."

With only 12 more days until Felix's due date, i thought i would bring back our virtual dates! i have always loved seeing baby bump photos and thought, what better than seeing some of my darling readers during their pregnancies?

If you're currently pregnant or already a Mama, dig out a photo of you rocking your baby bump. It can be from your maternity shoot, one you made your husband take, or one you snapped with your phone in front of the mirror.

After living here nearly two years, I can't believe (until last Thursday) I've never seen the white sands of New Mexico. 

It was breath-taking! just us two surrounded by miles of what i called flour snow on our own personal moon.

random things about me.

It's been awhile since I've done one of these posts, but since my new friend Janice over at BIKBIK & RORO tagged me, i thought i would play along. (Janice has a really cute etsy shop too-- i am smitten with leo the lion).

I love reading posts like these because you find out things that probably wouldn't come up in regular conversation (like i say a prayer every time i see an ambulance or hear sirens).

1. I wish i knew how to sew or saw a DIY project and thought, i could do that! the truth is, i couldn't even follow Youtube directions on how to put my breast pump together.

But i will make you a collage postcard and write you a little love letter on the back.

2. This book changed my life.

3. I have horrible eyes. (my glasses collection : warby parker, a clear pair from coastal contacts, and my birthday gift this year from my husband, Ray Bans)

4. I love thrifting dates (and lately, it's been even more fun finding things for Felix's nursery) but hands down, the best thrifting score i ever found was my wedding dress. It was everything i was looking for. 

5. When we found out we were expecting, of course i prayed for a healthy baby but i also desperately hoped Baby Maxham would be a girl. I felt guilty hoping/worrying it would be a she but like joanna wrote, "Even though people don't really talk about it, I actually think it's really common to wish for one or the other." 

i had insane butterflies at our gender scan -- and right after we found out, i bought this outfit to celebrate.

6. Now that i'm currently 9 months pregnant, something i wish i could tell my pre-baby self is this: wear that bathing suit! all the time.  (me on the beach in italy during a summer in college)

7. Woody Allen films have gotten me through some sad times (see #2)

Sweet September.

This is when we first announced we were expecting (at 15 weeks) and now in days, i'll get to hold my baby girl. Her expected birthday is September 17th and at my last appointment on Friday, my doctor thinks i'll be pretty close to having her then, if not after.

Either way, it's soon enough for this Mama who has waited patiently {sometimes not so patiently} for her even before we were blessed with this precious miracle.

P.S. Darling Husband, You're going to make such a great Papa. Thank-you for taking care of me these past 9 months-- i know it hasn't been easy. ;) We love you xo
