Happy Birthday to my twinkie soul!!! Since it's her birthday today, you know we are both 27 :)

my parents sent me spa day money which is always lovely but the sweeter gift was this book. I couldn't think of any better way to start each day.

Even though I'm not a tot anymore, i told my pappa i'm so thankful he always listens. 

this is the first year in 27 that our pappa doesn't buy me & marianne two sets of birthday balloons because it's the first year we don't get to spend our birthday together. :( 

Thank God for Skype! here's a shot of me on the other end my family took yesterday. (look at me cheesin'-- i was so happy to be talking to my family all at once)

ps. my momma made our Big Bird cake in the first photo. Last night my husband came home right before midnight blowing a party whistle and carrying a cookie cake that had cookie monster on it and a birthday hat for me. 

sweetest of all, it's the first year he gave me a birthday card that said wife.

you can see why my tummy was aching when we skyped yesterday-- check out all my momma's delicious hors D'oeuvres! it's what marianne requested for dinner, another tradition we have-- momma makes both of us whatever we want so you can imagine in our household on our birthdays it was always twice the food! and always twice the love.
