He learned from the Great and became Greater.

it was a beautiful beautiful memorial.
that remembered MJ the way many have forgotten over the last years... as a person.
as a father (paris, you broke my heart).

Brooke Shield's eulogy almost said it best, with her example borrowed from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's "Little Prince." Shields said many knew him as the King, but he was really like the Little Prince.

"What moves me so deeply about this sleeping little prince is his loyalty to a flower--the image of a rose shining within him like a flame within a lamp, even when he's asleep... And I realized he was even more fragile than I thought. Lamps must be protected. A gust of wind can blow them out."

"Eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart.
Michael always saw with his heart."

Lovely post! I think everyone was deeply touched when Paris spoke. I'm glad we got to really peel back and see him as a person and a great father. His kids are so gorgeous. :)

thought it was well done.... teared up throughout but really lost it at the end with his daughter... how sad for his kids, to them he was just their daddy...

I think I am the ONLY person on the face of this planet who didn't get to watch the memorial! I'm so sad I missed it!
