date night with my boyfriend.

when we first started seeing each other... we'd always meet for lunch at our favorite little mexican place and have margaritas. [he was also impressed i could eat so many chips & salsa]

this is an old photograph of us outside "our spot." I couldn't stop kissing him. His is my favorite kiss.

Friday night we had a date over gmail chat. It was SO good to see my darling friend's face... more importantly, his smile. I would look at him and sometimes he would just break out in a smile... it was cute. It sounds silly, but we both admitted at first we were nervous... i had butterflies all over again. "do i look pretty?" "what if i don't have anything great to say?" - all the thoughts you have before a first couple of dates with someone.

it was silly because this is my boyfriend who i've lived with. Who knows all my dark. Yet, he still gives me butterflies.

i showed him the really awesome record i bought at an estate sale earlier that day with my Mom. i tried on little shorts i found and forgot about and modeled them. {cheeky!} He got to see Maverick. I got to hear his laugh i love.

It was a lovely date.

One i wished had ended in a real good night kiss.

"I need you so much closer..."

While I've never been away from my boy for as long as you are, I always get butterflies when he comes home from a business trip or an outing, or when I leave and come back. that's how you know you really love him. And I do. (I think you do, too.)

I love that song, by the way. I think that all the time, even when he's right next to me. Probably weird... oh well.

M, OF COURSE you would say that because i almost wrote a 'Friends' reference in this post!!! How alike are we?!?!? i was going to say that we even pulled a "Ross & Julie" where it's, "no you hang up... no you hang up..." and then Rachel takes the phone and hangs it up. LOL It was like that. But i wasn't sure who would get that "Friends" reference. YOU GIRLS WOULD!!! :)

he's my Lobster. sigh.
