My
twinkie is the sweetest
seester to me. We joke because she constantly calls me about everything
("my boss yelled at me this morning and i just wanted to cry") and nothing
("ew, guess what i ate from the vending machine that i really shouldn't have!"). Even if it's every 5 minutes that she dials me, she always tells me she loves me, before she hangs up. Always. Sometimes I'll say it back, sometimes I think it's just a quick call, that obviously she knows I love her.
Then i read this last night, and it touched my heart. It is ALWAYS necessary. *please hop over to her beautiful blog.
To the outside world we all grow old. But not to brothers and sisters. We know each other as we always were. We know each other's hearts. We share private family jokes. We remember family feuds and secrets, family griefs and joys. We live outside the touch of time.

awww, so cute! i definitely side with your sweet twinkie! i always say i love you, and MAKE my siblings/parents say it back... they can't get off the phone or leave the house until they do! :)
also, there's nothing like sisters! my oldest sister is a wild and spiritual, amazing artist, and my other sister is a reserved, no-nonsense federal prosecutor; two extreme opposites, with me right in the middle. i always joke with them that we're like that cheesy show, charmed, and secretly have magic powers.

This seriously makes me teary-eyed. I wish I had as close as a relationship as you do, and you know what? I should! There is nothing like a sister a best friend who is ALWAYS there. :)
